What a tough time! Being stuck at home for weeks it really shows how good you can handle yourself when there is no busy social life and endless fun things to do. Now you have to entertain yourself and deal with your thoughts, anxiety and all kinds of feelings. If you have family, partner or roommate with you then there are their behaviors, feelings, and emotions too. 

The best you can do is organize your days and do things you never had time for! Like what?!

First of all, get some good sleep!

I am putting this in the first place because I think it is a very important thing and in our busy lives, we underestimate the power of good sleep. Give yourself enough hours of sleep without setting up an alarm and just wake up naturally. That`s a luxury most of us couldn’t have before the virus happened. I wish I didn’t have an alarm, but my alarm for those 28 days of quarantine is the police who call every morning and afternoon to check if I am at home, and they are calling everyone who came from abroad in the last two weeks. 


Since I have been traveling a lot at the end of 2019. and the beginning of 2020. I haven’t been exercising at all and now is a perfect moment to go back to the routine of working out every day or at least every second day. Now I don’t have any excuse and I would hate myself if I would be lazy, and not doing it. My favorite Youtube channel for a workout is MadFit.


Reading takes most of my daily hours and I am really happy about it. I wasn’t reading much last year and I didn’t reach my goal of 24 books a year that I set up on Goodreads, so this year I have to make it.

I wasn’t a big fan of Netflix but recently found some amazing TV shows and started watching it a lot. Some of my favorites are:

  • Breaking Bad
  • Money Heist
  • The Assassination of Gianni Versace
  • Narcos
  • Mad Man

I finally got time to organize my laptop and phone, delete everything I don`t need. Also, I am having plenty of time to cook, make my favorite homemade bread, play with my dog Megy and my three cats. I try to distance myself from too much news as I think there is no point in sitting in front of the TV all day long listening news, it can’t help but create anxiety. Being in quarantine means learning to live differently than what we are used to. It is up to you what you will do with your time.
