1. There are some moments that if we skip them, they will never happen again!

So many things happened this year, some good, and some that seemed bad in that moment, but are good in the long term. I had to make many decisions and I remember when I made some of them I already knew that it will be hard and I may lose some things but I choose to have those amazing life moments instead of materialistic things. You always can find a way to make money but you can’t get time back.

2.You have to let it go!

A relationship, people, a job, or anything that is toxic to you but you cling to it and don`t want to let it go. Well, you have to let it go. We all know when something is not good for us but we don`t want to listen to our intuition. One of the most important things I learned this year is to FINALLY LET IT GO!

3.Do not idealize people!

As my friend says “Everyone shows just their best”. Don’t idealize anyone, you never know what is behind the story they tell you until you spend more time with a person, see who he/she are friends with, how is their family situation and get to know a person better.

4. Create opportunities!

My father always says “Nothing gonna fall from the sky to your lap”. This is partly true, and I will explain why. I think we all have to have discipline and focus, work, meet people and create opportunities and just then something will probably fall from the sky to our lap if you are lucky enough.

5. Don’t waste time on people who don’t deserve it!

I got to learn this in a hard way. Time is the only thing you never can get back and probably your health if you drastically damage it. I was doing everything to lose both by investing in someone who never deserved it. It was a good life lesson, thank you but never again!

6. Be kind to others, but first be kind to yourself!

In order to be nice to others first, you have to be nice to yourself. Give yourself time and space, do things you like to do, and do something good for your well being. Whenever I feel nervous or angry I know right away what is the reason – I didn’t have the time for myself that I needed. The result of it is that I can be hard on other people and this is not what I want but sometimes it happens.

7. Don’t take things personally!

When a person in a shop, on the street, or your job is not so friendly, don’t take it personally, it doesn’t give you anything just anger and that is not healthy anyway. You never know what is going on in a persons life and why he/she is the way they are, mostly it doesn’t have anything to do with you.

8. Connections are everything!

The most important work you will ever have to do is to build your connections. This year make me realize that one thing I did right for sure in the previous two years is that I build connections that worth more than anything else. As my job requires a lot of traveling those connections are all over the world.

This year made me realize why things were moving slowly in past years – because I wasn’t focused. It is very easy to lose focus nowadays, where we are overwhelmed with so much information that we don’t really need. Be aware of it and stay focused on the things you want, the thing that makes you happy and things that mean something to you.

10. Invest in yourself!

The best investment you can ever make is an investment in yourself! Whatever good you do for yourself never look at it as an expense, look at it as an investment. It will payback sooner or later. I made many investments in myself this year, and some of them I never did before, starting with investing in a personal trainer for the first time in my life, going regularly for a massage, seminar about food, seminar about finance, as well buying organic cosmetics for the first time, and the best collagen I could find, then I bought a lot of books, invested in my blog, in trips that gave me new experiences, connections, and cherished moments. There is so much more to come and I am excited to see what next year will teach me.

What is the most important thing you learned this year?
